teamE4E 107: GENDER SPECIFIC TRAINING | RACE SWITCHING | BEING ALL INCLUSIVE

00:0000:00

On this week's show, John and Rob discuss their specific training and how each is coming along in the timeline.

John then wonders aloud why there are books geared toward specific genders (i.e, "Running for Women") since gender plays no part in how he designs a training plan for his clients.

Ron might be switching his Pittsburgh race to one in Texas on the same weekend for the chance to run shoulders with Chip Gaines. Since this is the weekend after John's triathlon, he is pondering joining him there for the weekend. And if that is not enough of a teamE4E group racing meetup, John is going to join Rob in PA late June for the Dam Tri.

The show ends with a talk on the group being all-inclusive and welcoming, unlike other groups out there in Facebook land that is becoming increasingly condescending and, well, mean-spirited.

teamE4E 106: IT’S OK TO BE SELFISH | FOOD FOR THOUGHT | THE SOY LIE

00:0000:00

John and Rob save the world this week. But that was before the recording started. So what you are left with, dear listeners, is a discussion about depression, being selfish and stubborn, working through food cravings, and a talk about the issue with soy in our daily diet.

teamE4E 105: SUGAR | COURAGE TO STAND | TREADMILL | HASH HOUSE HARRIERS

00:0000:00

Welcome to 2018 and thank you for being a part of Endurance for Everyone and teamE4E!

Is sugar going the way of tobacco, and why do some insist on pushing sweeteners as a "healthy" alternative to sugar usage. After a short football geeking out John and Rob discuss why sugar seems to be an issue still with some people, not in its use but in its ability to turn some people into zealots. The bottom line is that your body is much like a computer; you put garbage in you are going to get garbage out. It all starts with food, and even if you are lucky enough to not show outward signs of damage, what you eat DOES affect you.

The discussion also starts with the use of treadmills, and indoor training in general and how it can both aid and hurt you when training for a race.

A "Hash Race"? What is that??
