E66: Chris Valenti | Andrew Weaver | Back of Pack Endurance

March 26, 2017
00:0000:00

Since John and Randy could not get their schedules in synch this week (John's fault this time) we dug deep into the archives of IM YEAR ONE/BACK OF PACK ENDURANCE and found a great episode with Chris Valenti that still seems relevant today. The Fat Slow Triathlete and Endurance for Everyone tribe is still relatively new, so hopefully this will not only be interesting to you all, but also shows how far we have come in this podcasting thing (especially John).

The music this week is some serious 80's hair metal with Kix singing "Cold Blood" moving up a couple of decades for P!nk and her "Trouble"

E65: Sleep and Weight Loss | Foot Issues | Living Alone

March 15, 2017
00:0000:00

Randy is back this week and joins John to talk about the importance of sleep, how it can affect your weight loss and training, and ways to fix and adapt to a natural circadian rhythm. The ongoing drama of John vs. Feet is also discussed, and is becoming quite the issue as the 100 mile run gets closer and closer.

This week's music is the classic "Me and Julio" by Paul Simon and ends with "I'm Alive" by Mr. Aday (Meatloaf).

E64: Trail Running Chronicles | Managing Doubt | Little Talks

March 10, 2017
00:0000:00

John goes it alone this week and attempts to make it a listenable experience by going through his recent training plans, issues he is having with recurring pain in the ankles and feet, and in line with the way he writes in his blog, comes clean with some of the doubts creeping into his psyche and how he is tring to deal with it but having little talks with himself at night.

This week's music is from the band Of Monsters and Men ("Little Talks") and Nelson with "Love and Affection".

E63: Guest Co-Host Dave Baldwin | Finding Your Way Home | Whispering Pines Report

March 1, 2017
00:0000:00

With Randy still adjusting to life with a new baby, friend of the show Dave BAldwin joins John as a guest co-host to discuss his recent year long journey away from fitness and back again, along with his move back to Clearwater, Florida from the icy tundra of New England. John is very glad to have him back in the area, and the show becomes a great conversation about losing your way, and the help needed from friends, this show, and the Facebook groups to find your way home.

This weeks music, to welcome Dave back to the fun & sun, comes from the Zac Brown Band ("Toes") and Zebra's "Wait Until the Summer's Gone"
